About Juneau

Juneau, population 32,000, is the capitol city of Alaska. Thanks to its beautiful scenery and countless outdoor activities, Juneau is a popular tourist destination, with cruises bringing up to 6,000 tourists per day during the summer. Getting there is a bit tricky since the city is surrounded by rugged mountain terrain and water, with no roads linking it to the rest of Alaska. However, a short flight from Seattle or scenic ferry ride from Haines will easily connect you to downtown Juneau.
